We are excited to announce that the new Chromebooks have arrived and are being processed for distribution. In order to make distribution as smooth as possible, you will be receiving letters, or have gotten a letter explaining what steps must be completed prior to pickup.
The letters indicate any missing steps, such as the Chromebook agreement / Technology Use policy form, the $25 Chromebook fee (unless the family qualifies for fee waivers), and the return of any loaner devices that were given out at the beginning of the school year. Any steps that you need to complete may be taken care of before distribution at your child's school, or during distribution.
We will be distributing the new devices to our 3rd - 12th graders on Monday November 2 and Wednesday November 4 (there is no school on Tuesday). We are asking that remote learners who have met all criteria with last names beginning with A - M pick up on Monday between the hours of 1:30 - 6:00, and those with last names beginning with N - Z on Wednesday between 1:30 - 6:00. Please bring any loaner devices and charge cords to the school at the time of pickup. You will pick up the Chromebooks at the school your child attends.
In order to maintain social distancing and safety, we are asking that only one person from each family enter the school. Temperature will be checked at the door and face coverings are required.
Distribution at Pine Crest will be in the gym. Parents will need to enter through the east doors. At Mary Miller Junior High, distribution will be in the cafeteria. Parents should enter through the front doors. At the high school distribution will be in the high school cafeteria and enter through the main entrance.
Our in-person learners who have met all criteria will have the devices passed out during the school day. In person learners will need to return any loaner devices and charge cords before they will be given a new device.
