Good afternoon, As COVID continues to spike in our area, we will continue to work together to keep our students, staff, and families safe and healthy. Due to the rising numbers of COVID 19 cases impacting our students and staff at Pine Crest, we are unable to continue face to face learning at this time. Pine Crest Elementary including the PreK will move all students to full remote beginning Wednesday, November 11th through Friday, November 20th. Face to face students will return Monday, November 23rd. Face to face students will bring home necessary supplies. Devices will be distributed to our K-2 face to face learners tomorrow during the school day. K-2 remote students can pick up their devices in the Pine Crest gym on Wednesday between 3:00-5:00 p.m. Please enter through the East Gym doors. You must wear a mask or face covering and temperatures will be taken at the door. Breakfast and lunch for the remainder of the week will be provided on Wednesday evening for pick up between 4:00-5:00 p.m. at the cafeteria doors. We will distribute food again on Monday for the week of November 16th. Project Success will be cancelled as well and resume after Thanksgiving break. The Board of Education approved continuing remote learning through the end of the first quarter. Students will return to in-person learning at the start of the second quarter on October 19. We have been receiving a lot of questions about Chromebooks. The new Chromebooks we have ordered have not been delivered. As soon as those come in, we will notify parents to pick them up. The pick up today, Thursday Aug. 20, is for specific items that families were previously contacted about. Until the new Chromebooks arrive, you can use your own devices, including Ipad, laptop, desktop. Even though it is not ideal, you could also use a smart phone to access Google Classroom. We will continue to update our families as we get information about the Chromebooks.
