Hello everyone. Many of you probably are aware, but we have postponed our football game with Watseka this week. We have recently quarantined players, thus we are unable to play. Moving forward, we are fully expecting to play the remainder of our games. There are a number of players that will be getting their minimum number of practices in, along with kids coming off quarantine. Our young student/athletes are staying positive and continuing to put in the work. We are looking forward to the rest of the season! Mr. Thomas Principal

We have been receiving a lot of questions about Chromebooks. The new Chromebooks we have ordered have not been delivered. As soon as those come in, we will notify parents to pick them up. The pick up today, Thursday Aug. 20, is for specific items that families were previously contacted about. Until the new Chromebooks arrive, you can use your own devices, including Ipad, laptop, desktop. Even though it is not ideal, you could also use a smart phone to access Google Classroom. We will continue to update our families as we get information about the Chromebooks.

For all families that were contacted about picking up items from the schools on Wednesday, we have to make a change in plans. Pick up will be on Thursday only. Reminder, all Pine Crest students will need to pick up items for remote learning. You will be able to pick up items on Thursday from 8 AM to 7 PM. If you were not contacted in the last several days about picking up items, you can ignore this message. If you have any questions please contact your child’s school office during normal school hours.

The IHSA has given schools permission to move forward with sports specific workout days. GRHS Student-athletes may attend these workouts if they are interested in playing sports. The following is the schedule moving forward: Girls’ Basketball and Volleyball Monday – Friday 8:30-11:30 AM-Beginning 7/13 Football Tuesday and Thursday-6:00-7:30 PM-Beginning 7/9 Boys’ Basketball Monday and Wednesday-6:00-7:30 PM-Beginning 7/13 Soccer Thursday-4:00-6:00 PM-Beginning 7/9
