We were able to sort our Kindergarten students into houses today! They had so much fun!

Yesterday was our sorting ceremony for our new houses. We had an absolute blast figuring out who was going to which house.

Don't forget that Monday is our sorting day for 1st-5th grade! We are so excited to get the new year started with all new houses. Your kids learned about the houses this week and on Monday will be coming home with information about their brand new house. Make sure you review this information with them and get them excited about earning points!

We're excited to share the updated Car Rider and Walker Map for this school year! 🗺️
🔹 Car Rider Line:
•Yellow Arrows: Follow these to get to the car rider lines.
•Red Lane: For 1st-5th grade students, pick-up is out front.
•Blue Lane: For Kindergarten, 4th grade, and sibling car riders, pick-up is at the woodchips.
🔹 Walker Dismissal:
•Pink Arrows: Follow these for walker dismissal procedures.
A Few Reminders:
•Dismissal begins at 2:15 PM for walkers and transitions to car riders and bus riders shortly after.
•Please do not arrive before 2:10 PM for car rider pick-up.
•PreK Parents: Follow the yellow arrows to the red lane for car rider pick-up. PreK dismissal starts at 2:30 PM, so please wait until then to arrive.

Please join us at Pine Crest for our Open House and Orientation on August 12! Pre-K Orientation starts at 5:30, followed by Kindergarten Orientation at 5:45, and our Open House for All will be from 6-7. We will be hosting Popsicles with Principals in the cafeteria for students to meet Mr. Barth, Principal, and Mr. McCorkle, Assistant Principal. Also, a big shout out to PTO and the GRF Men's Club for their help with the event.
Pine Crest is looking for a Recess Monitor. If you are interested please reach out to either Mr. Barth or Mr. McCorkle. This position has been filled before by retired community members looking for a short daytime commitment. This is a paid position and the time is 10:30-12:30. 2nd grade students finished their countdown today with the Red Carpet Event of the Year! We are all so proud of the progress that our 2nd graders have made! We are confident that they do amazing things in 3rd grade! Enjoy your summer break, 2nd grade!
Mrs. Esteppe's class did an art lesson during the end of year countdown and learned about tint, tone, and shade. They completed an ice cream cone project showing off their own gradients!
🎉 Wrapping up the school year in style! 🎈 Our End-of-Year House Challenge Field Day was an absolute blast! Students laughed, played, and celebrated the amazing memories we've made together. Here's to a fantastic end and an even brighter beginning! 🌟
