LUNCH: https://5il.co/1jwbh

Don't forget tomorrow is 2 Quarter Tuesday. Your kiddo can bring in 2 quarters tomorrow in order to get a Halloween tattoo.

We are celebrating Principal Appreciation Week with a thank you to our three principals: Kevin Thomas - Georgetown - Ridge Farm High School, Josh Cavanaugh - Mary Miller Junior High, and Ashley Vaughn - Pine Crest Elementary. We appreciate your efforts as you lead and serve our staff and students. Thank you for all that you do.

Reminder! Parent/Teacher Conferences are today and tomorrow from 4 to 7. If you have an elementary or junior high student, please call your building office if you don't have an appointment and would like one. Parents of high school students do not need an appointment and can "walk in" to visit with a teacher. Time slots are 15 minutes. Thank you!

Tomorrow, Thursday October 6th Pine Crest will be hosting our sticker shop that occurs the first Thursday of every month. Students can buy 2 stickers for 25 cents to bling out their water bottles, trapper keepers, or notebooks. Come down to the Title 1 room to get your sticker on!

Reminder: Students are not allowed to bring any medication to school to take it on their own without a written doctor's order and consent signed by a parent /guardian, including over the counter medications. Also, students are not allowed to have cough drops at school. Cough drops are also considered a medication and they are a choking hazard. Do not send your child with cough drops, over the counter medication, or prescription medication (without proper paperwork through the school nurse) to school. If you have any questions, please contact your school nurse at your building.

Hey Parents! We are excited to be partnering with Gateway Family Services to help address the mental health needs of our students at GRF. They will have 9 week groups, only taking place on Wednesdays when school is in session, that will focus on strategies for navigating some of the tough things in life. Here is a short video to learn a little more about this program:

The groups will have limited spots available and so we encourage you to get them registered ASAP! You can register your student at: https://wix.123formbuilder.com/form-6116931/sur-thrive-consent

The mobile dentist will be at Pine Crest on November 1st. Dental forms went home with each student at the end of the year last year and were given out at registration. Dental screenings are required for Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 6th Grade, and 9th Grade. If you would like your child to be seen and have not yet completed a dental form, turn one in by the end of this week. Forms are available in the front office at Pine Crest.

September is Alopecia Awareness Month.
Please wear blue on Friday the 23rd to increase awareness of Alopecia.

Pine Crest Elementary is looking for a full-time Personal Assistant. If interested, please contact Ashley Vaughn at avaughn@gobuffaloes.org
