Hey Parents! We are excited to be partnering with Gateway Family Services to help address the mental health needs of our students at GRF. They will have 9 week groups, only taking place on Wednesdays when school is in session, that will focus on strategies for navigating some of the tough things in life. The mobile dentist will be at Pine Crest on November 1st. Dental forms went home with each student at the end of the year last year and were given out at registration. Dental screenings are required for Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 6th Grade, and 9th Grade. If you would like your child to be seen and have not yet completed a dental form, turn one in by the end of this week. Forms are available in the front office at Pine Crest.

September is Alopecia Awareness Month. Please wear blue on Friday the 23rd to increase awareness of Alopecia.

The GRF Student and Family Market had a big shipment today. Five hundred pounds of meat and many pantry items. Any GRF student and/or their family are welcome to shop for free. Name, address, total number in family, and number of children is all that is required. Feel free to bring your own shopping bag or plastic bags are provided. Families are limited to one large and two small meat items per week. The Market is located within the high school building and is open at 2:00 p.m. and closes at 3:00 p.m. Visitors to the Market must buzz in for entrance to the building. This Market is funded through a grant with the Eastern Illinois Food Bank. The staff and students work together to stock shelves when an order comes in. We are blessed to have this in our school community. #WeAreGRF

Grandparent's day reminder for all our Pre-K students and parents. Don't forget that Friday September 9th is Grandparent's day. For our morning classes our activities begin at 10 am, and for our afternoon classes activities will begin at 1:30. If you would like your student to go with their grandparent, please make sure the office has a written note from you.
