Students in Mrs. Davis’s class planted radish seeds a few weeks ago. They conducted an experiment to see how the plants would respond in the sunlight and in darkness. Students had the responsibility of watering their plants daily and checking to see how they were doing!








We are excited to announce that Mrs. Esteppe is the recipient of a $325 Empowering Education Grant from the Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative! She plans to use the money to fund an egg incubator project to teach students about the life cycle of chickens.

A HUGE congratulations is in order for our very own second grade teacher Mrs. Jessica Davis. She was the only teacher in ALL of Vermillion County to be recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education with an Award of Special Recognition. Teachers who earn this award are those who have been recognized by their colleagues, students, families, and administrators for the skills, passions, and talents they bring to their school community.

What better way is there to learn about bar graphing during Valentine’s Day than using candy conversation hearts! Students in Mrs. Davis’s 2nd grade class worked on bar graphs today while having a little Valentine’s Day fun!









The MMJH volleyball game that was scheduled for today, Wednesday, Feb. 12, against PVO has been cancelled due to weather concerns.
