Buffalo basketball camp was a success last week. The campers received fundamental group work, along with individual instruction. The camp was led by Coach Zach Morgan and Coach Brad Russell.

Good afternoon GRF Families! There is a school physical and vaccination clinic happening RIGHT NOW until 8 pm at the Westville High School Varsity Gymnasium. Walk-ins welcome. For the 24-25 school year new incoming preschool students need a school physical and up-to-date immunizations. All Kindergarten students need a school physical, additional kindergarten immunizations, a dental exam, and a vision exam. 2nd grade students need a dental exam. 6th graders need a school physical, MCV and Tdap immunizations, and a dental exam. 9th graders need a school physical and dental exam. 12th graders are required to have their 2nd MCV immunization. Any new, incoming students or students from out-of-state need to submit a school physical on an IL form and show proof of up-to-date immunizations from the last required grade level or have a new one completed. Any student in KG or higher is required to have one eye exam on file - if you have not submitted one in the past, it is due now. If your student was catching up on vaccines, those are required to be completed this summer before being allowed to attend. Please note: School physicals may also count as Sports physicals, so if both are needed it is to your benefit to only get a school physical. BUT Sports physicals do NOT count as school physicals and the required grade levels mentioned previously must submit a school physical in order to attend the first day of school. We have one of our school nurses on site at the clinic to answer any questions you may have. Please bring proof of insurance and an ID to the clinic.
Good afternoon GRF Students and Families, The Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation (SIHF) put together for the healthcare event tomorrow, Thursday (July 18th from 1-8pm). SIHF staff are meeting with Westville District Administration to look at our facility to make sure we understand the logistics and potential "flow" of folks who may choose to participate in the event. Bryan Ferrell from SIHF confirmed that the physicals would be billed to insurance as annual wellness check-ups as is normally done when people get physicals at other healthcare providers. Additionally, we will have hard copies of the information for the participating families when they leave. Bryan's staff will consist of will be between 8-10 individuals, along with at least 3 school nurses (1 GRF Nurse), and likely 1-2 Westville administrators to help with the event. Other admin are welcome to join if they like. The school nurses who will be working the event will largely just be available to help families understand what items they need for registration (school physicals, sports physicals, and/or immunizations). Nurses should bring a laptop with access to the student database (probably Teacher Ease) so they can retrieve information that would likely be useful (last physical on file, immunization records, etc.).
