Congrats to our Scholastic Bowl team for finishing the VVC season in 5th place with an 8-4 record. They compete in the VVC tournament on Tuesday.

The 4th graders have started their reading unit called "The Redcoats are Coming!". To kick things off, we decided to teach them about taxes, and the concept of "No taxation without representation!" Mr. McCorkle became the king, and the students earned "King Corkle Cash", which they were taxed on, without having a say in the tax laws. Needless to say, the groans could be heard throughout the building when the king came in to collect the taxes! He collected taxes for recess, lunch, clothing choices, and other things!

Our Scholastic Bowl team travels to Armstrong tonight for a matchup against Armstrong and Watseka, this starts at 4pm.
