CATCH YOUR CHILD BEING KIND AT HOME
The GRF Parent Support Team invites you to Catch Your Child Being Kind at HOME
during the GRF Kindness Week from February 13 - 17.
WHEN YOU SEE YOUR CHILD BEING KIND AT HOME...
1. Fill out a "Caught You Being Kind" Card (attached) sharing what they did to show
kindness. Please put their first and last name too.
2. Have your child bring it to school and put it in the "Leave a Heart" Envelope near the Wall of Kindness.
3. Your child will be entered into a drawing for a small surprise at the end of the week.- Also, Your child will be entered into a drawing for a Family Fun Pack at the Archery Tournament on March 10th/11th too!
4. You and your family can also post something on social media about how your child
or your family showed kindness using #GRFKindnessWeek.
**If you need more "Caught You Being Kind" Cards, your child can get some from a teacher**
KIND WORDS ARE SHORT AND EASY TO SPEAK, BUT THEIR ECHO IS TRULY ENDLESS.

The Buffalo girls basketball team has a regional tournament home game tomorrow (Saturday). Game time is 2:00! Come on out and cheer the team to victory.
The Georgetown-Ridge Farm Education Association will hold their annual Miss Piggy PINGO event on Sunday, February 12th at the Pine Crest Elementary Cafeteria. PINGO will begin at 2:00, and we promise to have you home in time for the Super Bowl game! All proceeds from PINGO will go to the GRF schools for their motivation programs. Destination Imagination is also holding a Chicken Noodle Dinner before PINGO in the Pine Crest cafeteria. Chicken Noodles will be served from 11:00-1:00. It is a free-will donation, and all the proceeds will go towards the Destination Imagination teams' competitions. Thanks for your support of our GRF students!
Miss Siddens, student teacher in Ms. Willoby’s 2nd grade class, prepared a fun mini lesson on the history of the Super Bowl! Students were able to wear sports jersey’s and make predictions about who they thought would win the big game on Sunday!

Mary Miller Junior High Project Success will be in session but there will be No Busing.
GRHS Project Success will be in session for Credit Recovery but there will be No Busing.

Dear Parents,
Please be advised that there is a power outage at Pine Crest. Ameren is on site and reported that they will have the power on by 9:45 a.m. In the event that the power is not back on at 9:45 a.m., we will be dismissing Pine Crest students ONLY from school. Please take this time to make plans for your student(s) should we need to dismiss due an extended power outage.

GRF Varsity Scholastic Bowl had a very successful night with a win over Hoopeston Area and Milford. Rylan Mosier picked up 11 toss ups himself for the evening. Way to go, Buffaloes!!

So proud of this guy! Hayden Copass is doing well at Purdue. He is not only competing at the highest level, he is also taking care of business in the classroom! This Georgetown Ridge Farm graduate is doing great things! Tune in on Friday, if you can.

Attention all MMJH students and athletes! Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, February 8 at 6pm for Junior High Night at the GRHS boys basketball game against the Fisher Bunnies. Wear your purple and gold and join our student section to cheer on the Buffs! The JV game starts at 6pm and we will have a free throw contest at half-time with prizes. Bring the ticket you received and get one free hot dog from the concession stand. MMJH students will not have to pay an admission fee.

The Buffalo Archery Team is enjoying great success this year. Special recognition goes to Kade Knight and Cecilia Boyd! They have posted the highest scores to date at the HS level! Notice the bling that Cecilia has around her neck. Congrats to both on their success!

If your student is interested in signing up for Track and Field please have them sign up in the office. They will need a current physical and our "Green Sheet" completed and submitted to the Junior High office before practices begin on February 27. We can't wait to start the season!
