Last week, Mr. Herrin’s class discussed the influence of Dr. Martin Luther King and his impact on the world. Students were then encouraged to come up with their own ways that they could change the world. This was such a rewarding activity, giving the students the opportunity to think creatively and share their own ideas for changing the world!

The Lady Buffs basketball team plays against Bismarck-Henning-Rossville-Alvin tonight in the Vermilion County Tournament at DACC. Mrs. Hobbs’ Social Studies Debates: Loyalists vs. Patriots! Students took on the role of either a loyalist or patriot from pre-revolutionary war era. Students voted on who best made their case for being a loyalist or patriot without letting personal preference interfere. Julian and Myla won by one vote with Loyalist, Jonathan Boucher. TJ and Mason came in second with Loyalist, Thomas Hutchinson. Great job!
